Abraham’s 250 years of history

Welcome to the Swedish dreamhouse

Abrahams; have a look around at this page, it can’t get more Swedish than this. Located in the beautiful Swedish Lapland!

Abrahams

Little IQ test, what was the name of the man who built Abrahams?

Yes! You guessed right, it was indeed Abraham. Let’s see what happened with the house throughout these 250 years of history in the heart of Swedish Lapland.

Year of construction

The exact year of construction is unfortunately unknow but estimated to be around 1775.

Hardships

Life in the North of Sweden in the 1800’s wasn’t particularly easy as you can imagine. Children died young, food was scarce and the harsh winter caused the family to emigrate to the US.

Amenities

The house is fully equipped with all modern comforts, including central heating, a fireplace, a modern kitchen, a TV with Chromecast, two bathrooms with toilets, high-speed Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, a washing machine, comfortable bedding and blackout curtain. It also features convenient extras such as a coffee machine, and an outdoor seating area.

Abraham Jacobsson Lindgren

Abraham, born in 1760 was as any other farmer around that time. He owned some cows, worked hard and barely had enough to feed his family.

Renovations

The house has undergone several renovations, from being a tiny house in the beginning, to a long one floored house that had to be rebuilt to a two floor house due to Swedish regulations to the house that it’s now. Blood, sweat and tears has been put in.

Architecture

With the last renovations, the family has always kept the original idea and style in the back of their mind and restored the original feeling of being in a house that was built in the 1700’s. Be respectful and enjoy to the fullest.
